When you purchase products from our website, we will collect your name, address, phone number, email address, payment information (e.g., credit card number, card expiration date, and security code), and the name, address, and phone number of any gift recipients. This information is used to process your order. We may also contact you via email or regular mail to provide you with information and offers related to our products, unless you request to opt-out as discussed in the “Access and Control of Your Personal Information” section of this Privacy Policy. You may also unsubscribe from receiving our emails by following the instructions for unsubscribing at the bottom of our emails. Gift recipients may also receive occasional information and offers relating to our products via email or regular mail. We provide gift recipients the option to opt-out from receiving future communications from us by following the instructions in the “How to Opt-Opt” section of this Privacy Policy. Gift recipients may also stop receiving future emails from us by following the instructions for unsubscribing at the bottom of our emails.

We collect Internet Protocol (IP) addresses from visitors to our website. An IP address is a number that is assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Text marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send text messages about our store, new products, and other updates. Updates include Checkout Reminders. Webhooks will be used to trigger the Checkout Reminders messaging system.

We do not sell or otherwise share your personally identifiable information, except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share personally identifiable information that you provide to our website with service providers we retain to perform services on our behalf. Our website uses third-party payment services that uses your payment information to process payments. We also share personally identifiable information with marketing service providers to provide us with marketing services. These service providers are restricted from using or disclosing your information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. 

We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Access and Control of Your Personal Information

After setting up an account, you can access, review, correct, and/or delete information you have provided to us by logging into your account. You may also ask us to assist you with reviewing, correcting, or deleting such information by contacting our customer service team at shop@harmlessharvest.com 

In general, it takes up to 10 business days for an Opt-Out request to take effect. If you receive offers or other communications from third parties and would like to opt-out from future communications from them, you must contact them directly. 

We may request authentication or verification of your request to opt-out, for example by requesting that you reenter your email address or provide other information, by requiring your authorized agents to provide additional information and authorizing documents to confirm their authorization by you, or by sending a confirmation communication to you which you must confirm prior to the Opt-Out request taking effect. 

You may disable cookies, web beacons and other technological means placed by us by adjusting your browser or email client settings. You may also opt-out from the collection of online viewing data for analytics purposes performed by Google Analytics by going to Ad Settings under your Google account. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf by sending a letter to the postal address below with a signed letter that includes your name, email address, and date of birth for verification, along with either your signed designation of the authorized agent or a court order or similar legal document designating the authorized agent as acting for you (for example, a power of attorney or letters testamentary). 

California Privacy Laws 

We are a California company and have taken care to comply with all applicable state laws regarding how we handle and protect personal information. In particular, we have designed our policies and practices to fully comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (“CalOPPA”) and the California Consumer Protection Act. We intend to update our policies as may be necessary to remain in compliance with any future amendments to these laws.

Although Harmless Harvest does not direct this website or its business to residents of the European Union, this Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the European Union’s GDPR. Residents of the European Union or countries with similar privacy laws are encouraged to contact Harmless Harvest’s customer support if they wish to exercise any of their rights pursuant to GDPR. 

Minors and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act 

Only adults aged 18 or over are permitted to use the Site. By using the Site, you agree to provide us with accurate information concerning your age or identity if we request it. You also agree not to assist minors under the age of 18 in accessing the Site or to attempt to contact children under 18 through the Site. 

We are committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. This Website is not designed for children, and we do not wish to collect personal information from children under 13. Online Store and Third Party Services 

Our Website store utilizes Shopify as our third-party e-commerce and payment partner, which allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your Data is stored through these databases and applications. They store your Data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment through our store to complete your purchase, then our partner stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Once complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS, as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. 

When you click on links on our Website, they may direct you away from our Website.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.  Once you leave our Website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.
